The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey

On Saturday I received some surprise book mail from @hodderbooks. I hadn’t seen The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey before and I didn’t know anything about it. Normally I’d read the information sheet that came with it but a certain puppy (thanks Roddy) shredded that for me so I started reading it without knowing what it was all about.

I have posted the synopsis on picture 2 but I’m not going to tell you too much about this one because you could easily spoil it. Also, if somebody had described this one to me I would have probably convinced myself that I wouldn’t like it and I overlooked it.

What I will say is that it is a brilliant read; very dark and twisted and deeply unsettling. I read it in a day, it is quite a short book, but I just had to keep reading it.

The Echo Wife left me with a lot to think about and I think it would be a good book club choice as I think people will have very differing opinions on what goes on, again I’m being vague to try and not spoil it.

The Echo Wife is out on 18 February and it’s one that I would recommend if you’re in the mood for a bit of a dark read. Thank you again @hodderbooksfor sending this one to me, it’s a really good read.
